We love to train you – worldwide! Part 2

Around the world, Dürr trains its customers at local training centers to ensure they can operate our machines and systems with expert knowledge.

In Part 1, REFRAMED covered the training centers in China, India, and Korea. Now, we move on to the other side of the globe to introduce our training centers in the USA, Mexico, and Brazil. These courses are tailored to meet the local customer needs, aiming to boost equipment performance and enhance the quality product quality. Here, our colleagues share insights into their daily training routines.

Rick Sears, Senior Training Engineer Dürr USA, on the training center in Southfield, USA:

“In 2023, we conducted training on 136 days and achieved a 99 percent satisfaction rate in the post-evaluation! Our state-of-the-art training center was modernized just last year and includes three painting robots and a sealing robot.
We offer over 75 courses, covering everything from safety guidance in painting robots, to programming, operations, and process coaching. Trainees learn how the individual devices are operated, programmed and maintained, both mechanically and electrically.”

Martin Villaseñor, National Service Manager Application Technology Dürr Mexico, on the training center in Querétaro, Mexico:

“We understand that effective use of our machines depends, among other things, on the right expertise, which is why we are committed to sharing our knowledge with our customers. One of our courses became so popular that it turned into a regular event. After attending one of our training courses, several customers requested an exclusive training day for their plants leading to the creation of ‘Tech Day.’ This comprehensive course covers processes in a paint shop and how to make them more efficient with our products and systems.
Our training center is equipped with a second-generation training robot, which we call the "traveling robot" because it has already been to several customer sites.”

“It is important to us that our training courses are both informative and interesting. We achieve this by combining theory with hands-on practice. Our training equipment and robots allow customers to apply what they have learned without fear of making mistakes, with support from our experienced experts. In terms of content, our courses cover mechanical and electrical maintenance, as well as basic and advanced programming and software skills.”
