    A wax film protects the cavities of the car body from corrosion. Robots apply the wax to areas at risk of corrosion using lances and injection nozzles. This method minimizes the amount of material used and provides optimum protection for the car body.

    • What has been your most exciting project so far?
      In early 2010, DÜRR developed a battery-swapping station for electric cars that allowed drivers to remain in their vehicles. This made swapping the battery faster than charging it—a novel and exciting concept at the time.
